Aston Villa - Portsmouth 1-3 Goal Highlights 08-12-2007

Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp saluted Sulley Muntari after the Ghanaian helped his side beat Aston Villa 3-1 on Saturday.

Muntari had only scored twice since his pre-season move from Udinese but he made up for that with two stunning goals at Villa Park.

He struck with a first half strike from long-range before bending in a brilliant second after the break and Redknapp was quick to lead the praise for his seven million pound midfielder.

"He's got a great left-foot and they were two fantastic finishes," Redknapp said. "The first one was a great strike. I was right behind it. The second one probably moved as well."

Glen Johnson admitted the Portsmouth players are used to Muntari's thunderbolts after seeing him in training every day.

"They were fantastic goals. We see it all the time. He's got a wonderful foot and does it in training a lot. We expect it," Johnson said.

Portsmouth moved into fifth place after their sixth successive away win but Redknapp was left with a bitter taste after being abused by Villa fans.

He stopped to exchange words with several supporters sitting behind the visitors behind and was still angry after the match.

"You've got people saying stuff behind you with little kids shouting filth. I didn't bring my kids up to talk like that," Redknapp said.

"Do we have to keep standing there and accepting that? It didn't happen when I went with my dad to watch Arsenal play every Saturday. There was none of this sort on nonsense going on.

"Maybe I shouldn't get upset but I do. What hurts me the most is when I see someone going at it, when they have got their little son by their side.

"He can talk how he wants to me. But doing it in front of his lad and making filthy gestures just stinks. Maybe it is a reflection on society."
