This Monday, Bojan Krkic received the Gillette Future Champion 2007 prize, awarded to the best young Spanish sports personality of the year.

Bojan fought off stiff competition from DKV Joventut Badalona basketball star, Ricky Rubio, under-23 1,500 metres champion Álvaro Rodríguez and gymnast Sergio Muñoz.

Internet vote

Bojan – who was put forward by the Spanish FA - received the award this Monday in Madrid. The young Barça striker was chosen by an internet vote organised by the Gillette Fusion website.

Constant evolution

This is Bojan’s first official recognition since he joined the senior squad. He made his first team debut on 24th April 2007 in a friendly in Egypt against el Al-Ahly, scoring the second goal. On 20th October he became the youngest Barça player to score in a league match when he netted against Villarreal in the Camp Nou.
